The Trinitas drama club received rave reviews from the community after last weekend's three performances of Pride and Prejudice. After months of hard work and tireless efforts on behalf of the students and directors, the cast of 38 performers presented an incredible live rendition of Jane Austen's famous novel. This novel, first published in 1813, exposes the dilemmas of a family with five daughters as their parents seek husbands for each of them. Trials and tribulations ensue as the women encounter various eligible bachelors, fall in love, and experience multiple misunderstandings. The events are humorous, entertaining and telling at the same time. The bright and beautifully crafted costumes accompanied with the simple set, lent itself toward a focus on the amazing accomplishments of the actors. With ten minute soliloquies by many of the lead roles, their months of hard work paid off handsomely. It was an incredible show and if you missed it this year, be sure to mark your calendars for next year as these annual performances never disappoint!
