Before coming to Trinitas, Mr. Cowart served as Headmaster at a classical Christian school in Tennessee. Mr. Cowart and his wife Joy have five children, all attending Trinitas. The Cowarts are members of Providence Church (CREC) in Pensacola.

Ed Varela has been teaching music for over seventeen years and joined the Trinitas staff in 2013. With a bachelor's and master's degree in music, he has taught on the college level all the way to preschoolers. He serves as the chairman for the Pensacola Music Teachers Association Sonata Contest, serves on the Florida State Music Teacher Association Executive Board, and serves in his local church as a pianist. In July, 2022, Mr. Varela completed Kodaly Music Certification from New Saint Andrews Conservatory of Music which is a three year summer program totaling 225 hours of class time. He and his wife Miranda have three children at Trinitas.

Mrs. Phillips taught children for over thirty-five years. After homeschooling her four children for fifteen years, she taught in a classical school in Georgia before coming to Trinitas. She has presented workshops at ACCS national and regional conferences, and is called upon frequently to present teacher training modules for Trinitas and other regional classical schools.
Mrs. Phillips is an accomplished musician who accompanies Morning Meeting and Trinitas choral performances. Her love for music fills her classroom and overflows into her students’ hearts.
Mrs. Phillips retired from the Trinitas classroom after twenty years of teaching, she continues to serve our school in an administrative role as our Director of Grammar Instruction.

Mrs. Howell has worked at Trinitas since the school’s first year. She works tirelessly to help the administration and students in countless ways but concentrates on bookkeeping. She and her husband Curtis were original Trinitas parents with two children, one of whom was an early Trinitas graduate. Now the Howells also have nine grandchildren.

Ms. Kivisalu has been involved in childhood education for many years, beginning with service in children’s ministries as a teacher, and also a superintendent, and continuing with the home education of her children for fourteen years. Ms. Kivisalu worked for many years in a public library, an experience that deepened her love and appreciation of children’s literature. Ms. Kivisalu also taught preschool education for six years prior to coming to Trinitas.

Courtney Ammons teaches 2nd Grade at Trinitas. Upon graduating from a University in Georgia, she moved to Pensacola to reside near family and begin her teaching career. Courtney is an active member of the Cross Church, a Reformed Baptist congregation. Through God’s sovereignty and graciousness, Courtney has joined the Trinitas faculty where she is excited to begin her ministry in classical education.

Sharon Robson has forty years of experience in classical and Christian education in Georgia and Florida and several years of experience homeschooling her own children. She has experience teaching all subjects at grammar school and logic school levels, and she has taught music to students of all ages. Mrs. Robson has also directed dramatic productions and prepared students for fine arts competitions. As the wife of a retired minister, she has been deeply involved in church ministry for forty years.
Mrs. Robson and her husband remain actively involved in the lives of their four married children and thirteen grandchildren.

Natalie May received the blessing of a Classical Christian education throughout her middle and high school years which developed within her a love of learning, Christ-centered values, and an appreciation for truth, beauty, and goodness in all of God’s creation. While she has always maintained an interest in the field of art, her passion for education was ignited by a former teacher who helped to cultivate in her an understanding of how to create art that glorifies God. Natalie attends Providence Church (CREC) in Pensacola.

Caleb Smith has loved school and learning from childhood. After graduating from college, he began searching for a chance to join the project of classical Christian education which he had recently discovered with delight and interest. By long and winding providence, this search finally led him to Trinitas. With his wife Ashley and their seven children, he dwells blessed in Milton, Florida.
Grace McNeill is a 2021 Trinitas Alumnus. She graduated with honors from Hillsdale College in 2025, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. She is excited to be returning to Pensacola and teaching Upper School Natural Sciences.

Mrs. Mary Stout has taught various math and science classes from the fourth to twelfth grades including calculus, physics, chemistry, pre-calculus, geometry, logic, and Algebra I and II. She has also served as testing coordinator, yearbook advisor, and sound and lighting technician. Her husband, Alan, is associate pastor of Providence Church and they have four children (all Trinitas Graduates) and 12 grandchildren.

As a professional artist, Stephen Kivisalu has had several solo and group exhibitions of his work, most recently displaying his work in the Celebration of Light exhibition at Quayside Gallery in downtown Pensacola. Outside the studio, Mr. Kivisalu is an athlete, regularly participating in team and individual sports such as baseball, basketball, tennis, hiking, and kayaking. In addition to his teaching duties at Trinitas, he serves as the athletic director, varsity baseball coach, and graphic designer for the school. Stephen married his lovely wife, Hannah in June of 2022.

Before coming to Trinitas, David taught at a classical Christian school deep in beautiful Southwest Virginia, and also worked in Adult Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia. David was the Commercial Services Coordinator for Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, a Commissioned Ruling Elder at a small Presbyterian church in Pulaski, Virginia and Stated Clerk of Abingdon Presbytery until being called to serve as Assistant Administrator at Good Shepherd School in Tyler, Texas. While at Good Shepherd, David helped develop the standards for accreditation for the Anglican School Association, taught classes as needed, and earned a master’s degree in Theological Studies at Cranmer Theological House in Dallas. He has been serving at Geneva Academy in beautiful Roseburg, Oregon for the last six years. He enjoys learning more about all things classical, medieval and modern. He particularly enjoys philosophy and theology and listening to music that resonates well with what Boethius called the music of the spheres.

After college, Mr. Lafont began a journey of seminary education and continues to pursue ordination. This has been driven by a passion to love God and others in all settings, including the opportunities presented at Trinitas. He and his wife have two children, Ezra and Eleanor. They are members of Providence Church, where Ethan is the pastoral intern.

A native of Pensacola, Dr. White has pastored Redeeming Grace Church in Milton since 2012. In addition to his educational training and ministry experience, he and his wife, Marseilles, educated their three adult children at home.

Rev. Randy Blankschaen is the pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in downtown Pensacola, where he has served since 2010. He loves Classical Christian Education, Ancient Greek, and the Greek of the New Testament. He teaches Greek II and III for 11th and 12th grades. He is married to Lydia and has one son, Theodore, who attends Trinitas.

Adam attended Trinitas from kindergarten to 12th grade, graduating in 2019. He moved to Idaho and studied liberal arts for three and a half years at New Saint Andrews College and now is pursuing an engineering degree from UWF. Adam is also an assistant coach of the soccer and baseball teams.

Catherine graduated from Trinitas in 2021 and is pursuing a B.A. in Art History from the University of West Florida. The Zepp family is one of the original founding Trinitas families, and Catherine attended Trinitas since Junior Kindergarten.

Mrs. Noland’s three children graduated from Trinitas. Their eldest, Rob, attended New Saint Andrews College after graduation and is now an attorney. Hannah is married and lives in Pensacola with three adorable children. Ben is in graduate school completing his doctorate in economics.
Cathy has been the librarian since 2000 when she went from room to room with a cart of books. She served in that role until 2016 when her first granddaughter was born and has been involved in the Trinitas library in various capacities ever since.

Megan Andzulis has taught music both privately and communally to a variety of ages over the
last twelve years. She has had the opportunity to teach and perform not just in the United States
but internationally as well, including in Curacao, the Bahamas, and Quebec. Mrs. Andzulis
currently serves as the principal accompanist for the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and is an
adjunct music instructor at the University of West Florida. She and her husband have two
children, one of whom is a grammar school student at Trinitas Christian School.

Michelle Hamilton has over fifteen years of combined teaching and administrative
experience in private schools and music studios. She has taught in New Mexico,
Hawaii, Guam, and Florida. Mrs. Hamilton has taught varying subjects, ranging from
secondary English and Spanish to Bible and home economics. She has directed school
orchestras, bands, and choirs, as well as prepared many private lesson students for
competitions and college auditions. As a musician, she plays violin and piano at her
church, as well as violin in the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. Michelle and her
husband Ted have two young girls, Evelyn and Rosalyn, the elder of whom is in
second grade this fall at Trinitas. When not at school, they enjoy traveling, hiking, scuba
and surfing.

Wesley Todd and his wife Jennifer have three children; Jillian (c/o '19), Emma (c/o '21), and Whitney (6th grade). The Todds have been at Trinitas for over twenty years and are members of Providence Church of Pensacola (CREC).

Dave DeBlander has owned ProClean Restoration and MarbleLife of NW Florida for over thirty-five years.
Dave has been an ardent supporter of Trinitas for a very long time and has followed the growth of the school while loving and supporting Trinitas. He now has two grandchildren, Braeden and Maddie, in the upper school at Trinitas. Dave is an ordained Southern Baptist minister who regularly teaches Midway Baptist Church Sunday School.

For over twenty years, John has served in various roles at Trinitas including soccer and volleyball coach, PE teacher, Director of Development, and board member.
John Strickler and his wife, Jill, have four children: Leah ('17), Adam ('19), Paul ('22), and Jack ('24). The Stricklers have been involved with the school since Leah was in Ms. Theresa Raus’ first-grade class, and they attend Providence Church of Pensacola (CREC).

Mr. Tim Cunningham and his family joined the Trinitas Christian School community in 2022.
He and his wife, Julie, have four children. Their eldest son, Richard, is in 6th grade, Michael is in 2nd grade, and Addilyn is in 1st grade. The Cunninghams have been active members of Gulf Coast Baptist Church for the past three years but are currently visiting The Cross Church. Tim has been a professional artist since 2010, specializing in oil painting.

Bill and his family joined the Trinitas Christian School community in 2018. He and his wife, Stephanie, have two children. Their eldest daughter, Charlotte, is in 7th grade while their youngest, Lainey, is in the 4th grade. The Striepecks are active members of Devotion Church in Pensacola and have been very involved in the school through Bill’s coaching Cross Country and Stephanie co-directing LoveThyNeighbor. Bill is an active reserve commander and works as a pilot for Aero Charter, based at Pensacola International Airport.

Robert Barnes has served on the Trinitas Board of Governors since 2006.
Mr. Barnes is Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Nine Mile in Pensacola. Robert and his wife Connie are parents of three Trinitas alumni: Gary, Josh, and Bryce. The Barneses are members of McIlwain Presbyterian Church in Pensacola.

Although a member of the founding Board of Governors, Dr. Noland has retired from regular board duties but continues to be an active supporter of the school. He has practiced dentistry in Pensacola for many years and continues to operate a thriving practice. Dr. Noland and his wife Cathy have three children—Rob, Hannah, and Ben—who are all Trinitas alumni and 5 grandchildren, one who now attends Trinitas. The Nolands are faithful members of Providence Church in Pensacola.
